  • NIC Loopback

I have a computer with 3 NIC ports. I want to run loopback tests on each port. Do I simply put 127.0.0.1 in Network Address 1, 2 and 3 and then check them as active? How do I know each port is being tested? How do I know which port is which?

    Thanks!

Please see section "7.7 Test Preferences -> Network" in the user guide:
    http://passmark.com/ftp/BIT_Users_Guide_Ed6_0.pdf

Esentially if you system has 3 NICS, you need to put 3 Network addresses in perferences, check them, and select "Test all available NICs". The address of 127.0.0.1 will test the internal loopback, while an addresses will test the port more fully (such as the external physical connectors).
