[MTL-U] 125U/155U run burn-in test will show USB/Advanced LAN fail with 8G RAM

Dear Passmark Members,

We run test on Meteor Lake-U (125U/155U),
it'll show USB/Adv LAN fail with 8G RAM, (please refer attach file)
but PASS with 16G/32G RAM,

system info as below:

Burn-in Test Ver: V10.2 1014
CPU: 125U/155U
OS: Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22631.242
RAM:
Kingston 4800 8G USB/LAN Fail
Kingston 5600 8G USB/LAN Fail
innodisk 5600 8G USB/LAN Fail
innodisk 5600 16G Pass
PATRIOT 5600 16G Pass
Transcend 5600 32G Pass

And we try Memory-Test with these DDR also PASS.

is any suggest in this situation?

This is a pretty strange scenario.
Maybe a device driver bug that corrupts memory. But with only 8GB, the corruption is more noticeable.
Maybe the RAM really is bad, but only fails in certain usage scenarios. For example both LAN and USB do DMA (direct memory transfers) from the PCIe bus. We've seen DMA failure once in the past (once in ~10 years).

Try running MemTest86 on the suspect RAM. There is an optional DMA test in MemTest86 you can turn on.

Is running DMA test need to adjust some BIOS settings?

What USB flash drive are you using?
Does this happen if you use another brand of USB flash drive?
Does this happen if you run the same test on a system with a different motherboard vendor?

I suspect the issue is likely with a bug in the UEFI BIOS disk controller driver. So I might check to see if there is a BIOS update.

Also can you attach a copy of the MemTest86 logs under EFI\BOOT\ of the USB flash drive.

We find a solution to run DMA test, and result shows PASS.
But it's need "disable ALL e-cores".
Is this is the right solution?

This is also surprising. It should not be necessary to turn off the efficiency cores.
Maybe this is a UEFI BIOS bug.

We test DMA on CRB will cause same situation,
we'll try another solution to solve Burn-in test issue.
