Sound test of Burnin show "No operations reported in timeout period" error.

Hello Sir,

We see Sound test show "No operations reported in timeout period" error with Burnin Test. Would you please help check the logs as the attahcments?
And we have a question. When we see this sound error, the "Sound Test" seems to be stopped.

Pass unit: We can listen to the sound from "Sound test" of Burnin and can see the change on speaker icon.
Fail unit: We can't listen to the sound from "Sound test" of Burnin and can't see the change on speaker icon (speaker_icon.jpg).
And the same time, we can listen to sound if playing mp3 file on the failed unit.
Is it by design or problem when seeing sound error about burnin software?

Not much in the logs, but from BurnInTest\BIT_log_260106_082805.trace, seems like the thread running the sound test seems to have stopped suddenly for some reason. Maybe the sound card device driver crashed.

Is the issue reproducible on the same machine each time?

Check that driver and system is update to date or try running just the sound test to see if the error is reproducible.

The windows event log is also worth looking at. Sometimes device driver failures log something before they die.

This was a VERY common problem from around 2006 to 2020. RealTek had bugs in their driver and never fixed them.

Thanks for your help. We didn't see any wrong from system, application or audio of windows event logs. And the issue can't be reproducible on the same machine each time.

And we still can't listen to the sound from Burnin test if stop->reset the test and run it again. But after restarting the system and doing the test again, we can listen to the sound from Burnin test.
