  • new hard drive time?

I think I'm probably screwed, but I would like a second opinion if anyone is willing to give it. Particularly; fails on reallocated sector rate, seek error rate, and write error count.

If you can still access the files on the hard drive, backup everything immediately.
If the drive is under warranty, return it for replacement.
Otherwise be prepared for a total failure some time soon.

Thank you, I suspected that was true. I started backing everything up as soon as I became aware of the problem, it's actually a nice excuse for a spring clean.

Thank you for the quick reply.
