DVD/CD surface checking program

Hi.

Does anyone know where I can locate software to check media discs to see if they will operate correctly after the scratches have been removed from the surface.

If this is a DVD data disc (without any tricky copy protection schemes on the disc) then you can use BurnInTest to read the files.

But you could just copy the contents of the disc to your hard drive as a quick test as well.

But all the dvds are from video shops that I repair, so i need a very quick test.

DVD movies are tricker to test (compared to data DVDs). DVD movies are designed to prevent you just copying the files.

Ripping the whole DVD is the only way to be sure it is OK.
