  • Are my components Ok?

I recently purchased some new parts for a new system, while keeping some old parts from my old system (2014). I thought my system would be ok, but there seems to still be some lagging / choppiness and I'm wondering why? I know my motherboard isn't the top of the line, but I don't think it would be the cause of it. My old graphics cards perhaps?

    Parts in the system:

    ***** New *****
    - CPU
    AMD RYZEN 5 3600 6-Core 3.6 GHz

    - Motherboard
    ASRock B450M Steel Legend

    - RAM
    CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) CMW16GX4M2C3200C16

    ***** Old (from 2014) *****
    - GPU
    2x Radeon Hd 7750 Eye6 2gb Ddr5 Pcie 6x Mini Displayport 70w Draw

    - Power Supply
Cooler Master Extreme 2 Power Plus 625W ATX 12V Power Supply 20/24PIN 120mm Fan

Using a SSD makes the world of difference if you are on an old HDD.
Also dual GPUs often cause more problems than they are worth.

Thanks for the feedback. In my old system, it wasn't a problem... I don't know. Maybe design architecture has changed... conversion of data...

Oh, and I do have SSD hard drives

If there aren't any driver issues, I would consider checking that BIOS is up to date, perhaps start with defaults, just one RAM module and 1 GPU (then switch GPUs), do some testing and then add one part at a time while you go from there in a process of elimination.

        Good luck.
