  • USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 Testing

    Hello,
We are conducting tests on the computer system we have developed using Passmark test tools. Our system has 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 output ports. Currently, we have one USB 3.0 Loopback Plug available. In our test documentation, we aim to test all USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports simultaneously and obtain the results.

Do we need to purchase 3 additional USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 Loopback Plugs for this purpose? If we connect the USB 3.0 Loopback Plug we have to one of the USB 3.0 ports, can we still test the other 3 ports at the same time during the test process?

Additionally, we are able to test USB 2.0 ports using the USB 3.0 Loopback Plug. If the USB 3.0 Loopback Plug is more stable than the USB 2.0 Loopback Plug for testing USB 2.0 ports, we are considering purchasing USB 3.0 Loopback Plugs for testing the USB 2.0 ports as well.
    Thank you.

You will need 4 plugs to test all 4 ports at the same time

You can test USB2 ports with USB3 plugs

They have both been on the market for some years and are both stable.
