  • accuracy of CPU temp and mem speed

    Memtest says running temp is between 110 and 120C. This can't be true can it?

    Also says we have 2400Mhz memory when we have 3000Mhz installed. Why the discrepancy?

    What version of MemTest86 are you using?
    What CPU is in the machine? Some CPUs are bizarre temperature offsets.
    2400Mhz report is likely correct.
    Send us a log file if you are using the latest software.

          AMD designed this CPU to report the actual temperature with a 59C offset for this CPU model. We don't know why.
          But the next patch release of MemTest86 will take the offset into account.
