What do you make of John Galt?

Regarding memtestx 86, he says: "It is technologically impossible to reliably test or evaluate memory installed on a device that relies upon that memory to function."

    Never heard of John Galt.
Googled that quote and got zero results.

Maybe John, whoever he is, is making a philosophical argument, which is, that a potentially faulty device can't test itself with 100% reliability. Which might be true.

But we don't need a test to be 100% reliability to be useful. So it is a dumb argument.

It comes from here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251831623. I've seen him around the forums at Apple quite a bit and the same could be same for most of what he says, it seems.
