  • Interpreting A Hard Crash after 1st pass complete with no errors

I certainly believe I have a hardware error somewhere with my Gigabyte Z490 i9 10900k 4x8GB 2400mhz Corsairs. I'm getting random crashes, with no Kernel Panics/BSOD while using the OS not under heavy load. Then boot loop crashes, sometimes 2-5 times until able to open the OS.

After running two instances of memtest86 I'm getting a hard crash at the same point after completion of pass #1 and start of pass #2 in both tests.

Is there anyway to interpret this? First step maybe test one stick/one slot at a time?

    Thanks for any insight.

Seems likely this is a hardware fault.

Sudden reboots / lockups / shutdowns are very hard to debug for a home user.
Without a team of experienced hardware engineers and some high end test equipment you are left with trial and error. Basically taking a guess and swapping components in and out until the problem is solved. But start with the easy step of checking if there is updated BIOS firmware.
