Hello,
I have a Gigabyte Mobo GA-MA69-VM-S2 with an Athlon x2 64 4000+ and acquired 2 Kingston 800MHZ KVR800D2N6/2G new old stock modules.
One of which did not boot, and I´m returning it. Just wanted to be sure the good one was working fine.
So I ran Memtest86+ (I know it is other software) and had an error, so I went back to my old 1G 667MHZ module and it presented the same address error.
It seems that its the 32 bit version (lower right corner)
This Motherboard has ATI x1200 integrated graphics wich uses shared ram, and I reduced to 32MB to maximize the testing area, Memtest86+ seems to have excluded the blocked RAM area. So I suspected of a false positive, because a known good module presented errors.
Then I Installed Passmark Memtest86 v4.3.7 because my mobo does not support UEFI.
And I passed 4 times the KVR800D2N6/2G module with no issues. but it seems to be testing the 32MB area because it shows Testing: 1024k-2015M.
I´m assuming the Memtest86+ gave false positive because 1G 667 and 2G 800 modules presented the same address error And Passmark none!
What do you make of it? I have no issues in windows whatsoever so far, with both 1G 667 or 2G 800.
