  • Poor Performance using AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX 64-Cores,

I recently purchased AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX 64-Cores,

Mothoer Board: Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI
    Video: NVidia RTX 4000,
    Memory: 256GB ECC Ram,
SSD: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 Plus 4TB NVMe, 3 Drives in total

    OS: Windows Server 2022

I paid 16K for this system.

I came across a user; Jacob who has an overall score of 8000K, whereas my score was 4500, less than 1/2. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or may be able to shed some light on it.

I would be grateful if anyone could share a configuration that would come within the 99 percentile.

I've attached my scores to this topic.

    Thanks

Might want to compare the individual CPU/2D/3D/Memory/Disk results. I assume it probably due to the other user having a combination of better 2D/3D/memory scores.

Seems like a lot. Only a limited selection of software can take full advantage of this CPU (most software can't use this many cores without the RAM, Internet, disk or 3D being a bottleneck).

ECC RAM is generally a bit slower than normal RAM. Plus the machine will suffer some NUMA effects (except with specifically tuned software). See also
