Hi, newbie here.
So I have just built my PC and here is the list of the specs:
PassMark Score: 6,828 - 99th Percentile
Intel Core-i9 7940X @3.10 GHz (Maximum Multiplier @ x43.0)
ASRock X299 Gaming K6
G.Skill Sniper X F4-3600C19D-16GSXWB 16GB x 2 = 32GB
Zotac GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Core 11GB
Samsung M.2. SSD 960 Evo 500GB - Main HDD for Windows 10 Pro
Seagate Enterprise ST4000NM0035-1V4107 @4TB 7,200 rpm - Secondary HDD
Corsair HX Series 850W Full Modular - Platinum (Power Supplies)
Corsair Hydro Series H150i Pro Water Cooler
Cooler Master H500P Casing
When I did the PassMark test, the components are performing reasonably well except for the CPU. Here are the detailed scores:
CPU Mark: 22,260 (Model Average: 26,170; Model Minimum: 18,907; Model Maximum: 32,470) - 99th Percentile
Integer Math: 64,632
Floating Point Math: 24,604
Prime Numbers: 62
Extended Instructions (SSE): 1,725
Compression: 51,273
Encryption: 8,649
Physics: 783
Sorting: 30,335
CPU Single Thread: 2,438
Memory Mark:2,616 - 87th Percentile
Database Operations: 97
Memory Read Cached: 28,638
Memory Read Uncached: 12,834
Memory Write: 11,410
Available RAM: 28,123
Memory Latency: 34
Memory Threaded: 30,294
Disk Mark: 16,893 - 99th Percentile
Disk Sequential Read: 2,554
Disk Sequential Write: 1,482
Disk Random Seek + RW: 634
CD/DVD Read: N/A
3D Graphics Mark: 15,256 - 99th Percentile
DirectX 9: 214
DirectX 10: 348
DirectX 11: 358
DirectX 12: 65
GPU Compute: 10,131
When I openedIntel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility, the Processor Core Ratio and Processor Cache Ration were still at the default multiplier (38x and 24x respectively). As much as I should be grateful to have all these specs, I have to admit that my CPU looks like operating underclocked at almost 4,000 points below the same CPU Model PassMark score.
Can someone help me on how to get my CPU score operating at least around the average PassMark score (@26,000-ish)?
Thank you so much for your kind help and comments!
