Problem with all AMD high performans notebook graphic card...

There is a new debug build available at http://www.passmark.com/ftp/petst_amd_debug.exe, it will attempt to detect if AMD PowerXpress is in use and if so save that card as the one being tested (though it may still display the Intel card details when running the test).

Could you please install this build, run it in debug mode and send us the full copy of the debug logs that are created (support email address is here).

We've received some good information from AMD about detecting the cards on these systems and it looks like we'll need to make some changes to PerformanceTest to correctly recognise when the AMD card is in use.

Once there is a new debug build available with the changes we'll post a link to it form this thread.

Thanks, looking at that log the AMD card just isn't visible to PerformanceTest at all. We're going to try speaking to AMD to see if this a known issue or if there is another way of detecting the card.

It's possible this is some sort of display issue (or the high performance card is never visible to the application) as you seem to be getting 3D results that are twice as high as the Intel HD 4000 so it looks like is being executed on the high performance card.

Could you please run PerformanceTest in debug mode, as described here http://www.passmark.com/support/ptdebug.htm, and send us a copy of the log files that are created so we can check if the card is being seen by PerformanceTest.

I tried this configuratin right now(and i put "fluid3d.exe" too). All of this exe is now "high performance" flag... But "performancetest8" still doesnt recognize AMD gpu...!
I have two different notebooks and both has AMD gpu. First GPU is "AMD Radeon HD8750" and the other GPU is "AMD Radeon HD7600M"
What should i do, after all of this trial?

After all of this preparation, "performancetest8" still switch only "HD Graphisc 4000" gpu...!
We want to buy this program but this problem makes us think ...

Have you checked you are using the latest available drivers from AMD?

What sort of 3D results (overall and individual tests) are you getting when you have the system set to high performance?

There is more than one exectuable that needs to be assigned to run using the high performance card (or you should make the high performance card the default for the system while testing), there is an optimus example at http://www.passmark.com/support/perf...ia_optimus.htm.

This problem is not the first problem that happened to us. Not all of the notebooks which has amd cards can be tested. Trying to change "high performance card" mode to default is also not working. The method which you offered is for nvidia based cards,which we are not had problem with

We are using "performance test" for AMD Radeon HD7600 series cards notebook... Notebook has 2

graphics card: First one is Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the second one is AMD Radeon HD7600 series...
Our Test with the first GPU is ok but we are not turned on the other AMD card for testing "performance
test". We choose High Performance for performancetest64.exe via AMD Catalyst Control Center but
test doesnt begin with high performance graphic card... Program test only HD4000 gpu card at
all conditions.

Is this a bug or should we use another method for testing this kind of notebook?

Not: we had this problem in four different notebooks (with different kind of AMD GPU), still we are getting problems and still we are getting problems...
