  • 12th Gen Intel, Windows 11, Fails to finish 3D Mark

Testing new systems with 12th Gen i9 12900T processor, with Windows 11. Motherboard is ASUS B660i with 32GB DDR5.
No external graphics card, so using the UHD 770 graphics that is in the CPU.
The DX10 test fails shortly after starting, Windows pops up a notification that the hardware was not allowed access.
The "GPU Compute" test just freezes, and I have to shut down the app.

Also noticing the 2D Mark has quite wildly changing values on repeat runs, with no obvious reason (nothing else is using CPU).

    Any ideas?

It is a known issue with Intel's video card driver. They know about the problem, but don't care.
If you use an earlier version of their driver it should work.
(which might sound easy enough, but their version numbering is also a mess).

    Details are here

Intel have just released an update (30.0.101.1340) so you might want to try this version and see if it has fixed the issues, nothing specifically mentioning DX10, DX11 or OpenCL in the release notes however.

Thanks so much, that latest updated driver has fixed it.
