I've been working with an ASUS Tuf Gaming B550 Wifi Motherboard with the Ryzen 5600X 6 core system. I had been using an old Nvidia MSI GTX 750ti video card in the system.
The overall motherboard system memory benches around 3500 with this card. However, I dropped in a few other cards for testing and found that there are differences in the performance.
The card in question is an MSI GTX 1060 6GB. Video BIOS: Version86.6.27.0.3a as reported by the software. When plugging in this card, overall system memory performance drops to around 2700.
When I drop in a newer card, say an RTX 3060 video card, the system memory performance does go back up to 3500. So I don't know exactly what would cause a drop in system memory performance when using the GTX 1060. Only 2 statistics in the memory performance remain the same between all the video cards, available memory and memory read cached (I think its that or its memory write). Memory latency drops from 57 to 41 when using the 750ti or RTX 3060 as an example stat that is affected.
Any clues or ideas to why this is the case? I am leaning on keeping the 1060 card in the system as the main video card. The RTX 3060 card is slightly bigger and the cable hookup is interfering with case fans and I've got another system in which to put it.
Thanks
