  • Question abt multiple baselines

I recently uploaded a baseline of the same hardware but with a 21% increase in overall performance mark. This increase came about just by closing unnecessary background processes(which I encourage everyone to do when benchmarking). Here are the two baselines: #1 and #2. While uploading, PT8 prompts you that duplicates are discouraged and will be deleted.

Why are multiple baselines discouraged? Wouldn't more baselines/samples mean better overall results?

Did I interpret it wrong and it just means a benchmark should only be uploaded once, not necessarily benchmarks from the same hardware?

Also if duplicates are removed, which one is kept? Better, first?

Uploading duplicate results to our database is discouraged because there is no interest in having 100 copies of the same information in the database.

If there is only a duplicate (2 examples from the same person, for the same hardware) then deletion is unlikely. Its only when it gets into dozens of copies of the same data that it gets annoying.
