Hello,
i want to upgrade my Server CPU with a Xeon E3-1245 v5. Currently I'm using:
MB: Supermicro X11SSM-F (BIOS 2.2/2.7)
CPU: Intel i3-7100T
RAM: 4x 16GB
During the test with Memtest86 10.3 Pro, I successfully got the [ECC Inject] message followed by an [ECC Errors Detected] message. At the end of test, I get a summary how many ECC erros haven been successfuly corrected.
Now I replaced the Intel i3-7100T with the Xeon E3-1245 v5, run the same test, but I only receive the [ECC Inject] message, without the [ECC Errors Detected] message.
Both CPUs are capable of ECC detection, but why isn't it working with the Xeon?
