Happy to report that after swaping to the G.skill kit I was able to run Memtest86 without issues (no error found) with both default speed (4800MHz) and XMP profile (6000MHz). I will test additional stability within the return window and likely RMA the Corsair kit. Thanks for posting here, that helped me find the issue.

    Strange thing nonetheless!

Indeed. This is the only case we have seen like this.
My guess at the problem is that the refresh interval is being programmed incorrectly in the SPD data.
Would be interesting to get a tool like RAMMon and compare the SPD data for refresh values between the working and not working stick.

I have the same error on Test #10 (Memtest86+).

Test 0-9 are all pass. Test 10 had few thousands of errors across all memory locations.

        RAM: CMK64GX5M2B5200
        CPU: 14700K
        Mobo: MSI Z690-A Pro

        XMP enabled.

After a long google, I found this post. I will go back to microcenter this weekend. But for now. Here is my RAM data (on the timing)

Unfortunately, I won't swap with another Corsair (first ever purchase of this brand and lost of faith). The new one will be G.Skill. So, we won't be able to compare data.

Here is a relevant post from other site: https://forums.tomshardware.com/thre...rrors.3822513/

Still I just want to post this out if this helps any others.

[I will come back to provide update once I go exchange the RAM]

Got a G.Skill RAM (and it is not even in the recommended memory list from motherboard), still it worked perfectly now.

          Memtest86+ Passed multiple runs.

Hey all, I know I’m sort of beating the dead horse here, but just wanted to say that this forum post was really helpful. I just ordered new parts for a nice PC my brother and I put together, and for the life of me we couldn’t figure out why we were getting BSODs and game crashes for multiple days. We finally did a memtest on the RAM we got and ended up with some 4000 errors on test 10. Like many of the previous posts on this thread, I bought a corsair vengeance kit, specifically a 32GBx2 DDR5 5200MHz set. Just ordered a similar kit from G.Skill and hoping that resolves the issue much like the rest of you guys. Will post an update, and just wanted to say thanks for the collaborative effort of everyone who has contributed on this thread!

            Specs:
            AMD Ryzen 7 7700x CPU
            AMD Radeon 7800XT GPU
            ROG Strix B650-A motherboard
            Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GBx2 5200MHz RAM

              BaggersBag, thanks for the contribution.

We've Emailed Corsair to see if they are aware of the issue.

Thank's David for bringing this to our attention. We're working on the root cause analysis. If any customers are having issues. Please send me a private message with the lot code from the module sticker and the part number.

I also hit a problem with test 10 (bit fade test) failing on some Corsair 32GB DDR5 sticks: CMK64GX5M2B5600C40, using MAG Z790 Tomahawk WIFI motherboard, i5-13600K CPU, stock speeds.

I already had 2 sticks of identical RAM in my system, and these pass all tests successfully, from 29th week of 2023.

I purchased 2 additional sticks from Amazon Warehouse (i.e. previously returned), dated 38th week of 2023, and added to the existing RAM. Machine hit BSOD when shutting down after first boot.

I tested the 2 new sticks on their own, same slots as the existing sticks and hit >600 errors.

CorsairJake I will send you the requested info.

Can also share memtest report if useful.

                  I've returned to Amazon.

Amazon Warehouse sells RAM sticks that other people already returned as faulty (presumably without doing any testing themselves)? Wow.

Update: I just checked and it seems they do. Discount is only ~5% off the new price, which seems a very small discount for RAM that is very likely bad. Also interesting was that 50% of the suspect RAM they offered was Corsair Vengeance (locally in Amazon AU).

Signed up to add another sample - same issue as the OP, albeit with a B650 board and a 7800X3D, but with the same Corsair RAM. Test 10 failed, ordered a CL30 Corsair Vengeance set, and its passed Memtest without issue. I got the original memory as part of a prebuilt system and they've been great about the RMA process, so a reasonably quick fix all told. Huge thanks to Memtest for making it easy, and for the OP for raising their issue to begin with - finding this thread and seeing someone else having the same problem was helpful.

Having the same issue except only one of the sticks seems to be faulty.
                        Model is Corsair Vengeance 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) CMK64GX5M2B5600C40 on a MSI z790-A WIFI and i7 14700k.
Test 10 got thousand of errors. I ran multiple tests (both sticks with and w/o xmp, single sticks with and w/o xmp on slot A2) and one of the sticks actually got a pass with both xmp on and off.

The thing is I bought the RAM in another country and it would be really troublesome to return it (don't even know if I can since it was a month ago) and buy another in my country that is way more expensive.
I'll message Corsair Jake to know what I can do.

Here are the results for testing both sticks on A2 and B2 with xmp on

had the same issue in test 10 with over 2000errors on each stick with corsair DDR5 5200mhz 32gb (2x16gb) RAM, was not fussed about trading in for same ram units. i traded in for G.skill trident Z5 DDR5 6000mhz 32gb (2x16gb) did another memtest86 with new ram without any problem at all.

                          more info:
initially i was getting lots of BSOD going from faulty hardware corrupted to memory management failure, did the memtests and kept failing test 10 with over 4000errors after the sleeping phases. thanks to this thread i was able to find out there might be a lot of faulty units out there.

faulty corsair ram bought at Alternate.be at 25/05/2024. returned the item under warranty

Same issues here. Z790. Corsair ram. Upgraded everything except power supply and video card.
Games keep crashing and sometimes bluescreen.

Memtest showed lots of errors at test 10.
Any brand people recommend to replace with?

You could try direct message to CorsairJake above (he is Corsair employee). Should be able to get them exchanged for free, maybe.

                                Thanks David (PassMark).

I tried testing each stick individually. One passed all tests no problems and the other failed to post at all.
So pretty sure I just have one dodgey stick rather than an incompatibility error.

Will take back to Umart here in Sydney Aus for a warranty replacement.
