Please confirm PassMark 10 support on Windows 11 OS ?

We are getting 28% low score for 2D graphics mark and 13 % low total score compared to windows 10 OS

Low score observed after updating KB patch and driver for AMD CPU

      Yes, we support Win11.

Can you post the individual 2D results. Both before and after installing Win11.

Just to add to the pile of woe. I was also reading today that Win11 slows down SSDs in some circumstances.

They are not the individual test results. So we can't see which sub-test was effected. Ideally you want to run each test several times as well just to make sure it wasn't just a one off result.

Thanks for the Win11 results. Do you have the Win10 results to compare with?

Microsoft has released new details of the disk performance problems in Win11.

This was as part of this up coming Win11 patch release, November 22, 2021—KB5007262 (OS Build 22000.34 Preview)

"Addresses an issue that affects the performance of all disks (NVMe, SSD, hardisk) on Windows 11 by performing unnecessary actions each time a write operation occurs. This issue occurs only when the NTFS USN journal is enabled. Note, the USN journal is always enabled on the C: disk."

The USN journal is a NTFS metafile (so always hidden from the user unless you are using forensic tools), called, $Extend\$UsnJrnl.
The journal file is used to track file changes, and this is in turn used by the file backup function to determine which files have been created and modified in order to back them up.

It isn't known what the "unnecessary actions" actions they refer to are. But it amounts to extra unwanted background disk activity.

While not only related to Win11, it will probably be seen nearly exclusively on Win11 as it only occurs in new machines with 12th Gen Intel CPUs.

Intel's latest video card driver (for 12th Gen CPUs with integrated graphics) has a bug which crashes the DirectX10 test.

So a bit of a mixed bag with those Win10/11 2D results. Some sub-test actually got slightly faster with your move to Win11.
But there were also some big drops of up to 40%. But no real obvious pattern.
I assume that you are using the same video card device driver version on Win10 and Win11?
So it seems likely Microsoft made some changes to the Desktop Manager software in the OS and GDI+ graphics layer and it has effected performance.

It is pretty clear at this point that Microsoft didn't do much performance testing before the release of Win11.

What hardware are you using (video card & CPU in particular)?

I've noticed a drop in G2D after going from Win 10 (887.5) to the dev Win 11 (780.7). With the latest AMD driver, I'm at 823. Significantly, my Windows Interface score is in the 28% percentile, with a Radeon RX 5700 XT.

I'm not able to compare the G2D sub-tests without being able to recall them. I can only bring up my latest upload (Baseline ID# 1498844): PassMark Software - Display Baseline ID# 1498844

I don't know how to get any of the previous result breakdown web pages. My Baselines (passmark.com) shows no data, even though I've uploaded several. I can see them in Performance Test, but there's no breakdown of G2D there.

Is there a way to search for the web reports? I'd like to see the breakdown for Win 10/11 on my system.
